Advionics in Oostkamp acquired a large new office space. Buro International furnished it completely: with fixed and flexible workstations, two meeting rooms that combine into one large room and a dining area for more than a hundred people.

Meeting rooms: from two rooms to one large space

A large and a medium-sized meeting room were furnished. Thanks to a movable partition wall, they turn into one very large room in no time. That called for furniture just as flexible as the space itself.

The TALO.YOU stacking tables by König + Neurath are ideal for this. These mobile tables fold up in a few simple steps and slide compactly aside. The layout adapts quickly to any situation: a meeting, a workshop, a presentation or a large event. The TALO.YOU range has already won several design awards.

The CRA18A high table by Narbutas also runs on castors, so it is easy to move. It is ideal for a quick standing meeting or as an extra work surface. Around this table stand UPis1 stools by Interstuhl. This dynamic balance stool encourages an active sitting posture.

The permanent eye-catcher is the Veneto meeting table by Belgian brand Perfecta. It measures 300 x 100 cm and has an oak top. The warm wood gives the meeting room a calm, professional look.

Workstations: fixed desks and flex desks

In the open-plan office, fixed workstations and flex desks alternate. The flex desks are designed as rounded islands. Combining desks of different shapes creates a lively whole instead of a rigid grid. Plenty of green plants make the workspace cosy and create a fresh atmosphere.

At their desks, employees sit on the ergonomic SE7en office chair, which provides comfort and good posture throughout the working day. Pigeonholes and lockers could not be missing either. With the ACTA.LOCKER by König + Neurath, employees, and especially flex workers, can store their personal belongings safely and the workstations stay tidy.

For focused work and confidential conversations, we installed a Hush Phone, an acoustic phone booth for one person, and a Hush Meet, a mobile acoustic meeting room. Both have their own lighting and ventilation and are easy to move. In the lounge corner, the elegant Bella coffee tables by HAY complete the look perfectly.

Dining area: room for more than a hundred people

For the dining area, the question was similar. How do you furnish a space for more than a hundred people that sometimes has to be cleared completely, yet does not look dull or monotonous? It also could not feel too clinical, while all materials had to be plastic and washable.

We found the solution in variety: different colours, warm wood tones, different table top shapes and different heights. The compact Circa tables by Perfecta have an HPL top and a central column base. They come in round, square and rounded square versions and are particularly easy to maintain. Around these tables stand the simple and versatile Paris chairs, also by Perfecta.

At the high tables stands the BarZenith bar stool by Perfecta, with a seat height of 80 cm. Because it is not upholstered, it is easy to clean.

We also chose benches by Bejot, in round and rectangular arrangements, with matching round and rectangular tables. This gives the space a varied rhythm and it never looks too rigid.

Thanks to the flexible meeting room setup, the variety in shapes and heights, the warm wood tones and the green plants, Advionics now has an office that is practical and easy to maintain, while feeling pleasant and inviting.
