An acoustic booth is a free-standing, sound-absorbing space you place in an open office without any building work. It absorbs speech so that a conversation inside does not disturb anyone outside, and the other way round. The booths are tested under ISO 23351-1:2020, which measures how much speech level they hold back.
That depends on the number of people and the use. For short phone calls, a booth for one person of less than one square metre is enough. For focused work you choose a unit with a full desk. For meetings of up to four people you take a meeting booth with benches and a table top, and for video meetings a unit with extra adjustable lighting.
